SENCO

We are looking for a dynamic individual and outstanding practitioner to lead inclusion as a SENCO in our school for approximately 2 days a week for a fixed term of 1 year. The post is to start 16th April 2018.

At Millfield we try to ensure all vulnerable groups make good to outstanding progress in all areas, and we need someone with personal resilience, drive and determination to maintain our exceptionally high standards. The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will lead a building inclusion team and work collaboratively with our new senior leadership team to ensure provision and progress is outstanding for all groups of children.

Experience of working with and having impact on vulnerable groups is essential.

Caretaker

We are looking for a hardworking, honest, dependable, self motivated person to join our School team as Caretaker with a view to start as soon as possible. The post is for one year initially with a view to become permanent.

You will be required to:

  • Maintain the school premises (inside and outside environments), including site security and routine repairs and maintenance (a good standard of DIY skills is essential);
  • Perform a wide range of caretaking duties, working closely with the Health and Safety Lead and Office staff;
  • Undertake cleaning tasks as agreed and required;
  • Support the Headteacher to ensure that the school is compliant with health and safety, as well as safeguarding requirements on a day to day basis.

Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning within a Key Stage 1 class and, at scheduled times, work on a 1 to 1 basis with a Year 1 pupil with special educational needs (approx. 27.5 hours per week). This post is a part time, fixed term contract until July 2018. The post will be available for an immediate start. Initially, it is a temporary position, however, there may be opportunities to extend the contract in the future.

The successful candidate will be a friendly and efficient person. They must have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.

Millfield was judged an ‘outstanding school’ in February 2009. We offer excellent facilities, a professional and friendly staff and happy well behaved pupils.
