Extra-Curricular Clubs | Description |
Gardening | Children will explore our outside environment and develop their knowledge of plants and wildlife with lots of fun-filled activities. |
French | French club will develop children’s self-esteem and confidence. The activities will include storytelling, drama, crafts and many fun songs and games. |
Times Tables Rockstars | Children will have the opportunity to develop their times tables skills using Times Table Rockstars whilst being supported and encouraged by a teacher. They will be able to play individually or take part in team games. |
Band Club | If you've ever dreamed of being part of a band or musical group, then this is the perfect club for you! Week by week children will be introduced to a variety of different musical instruments, including keyboards, guitar, percussion and more. Working as a team, the group will learn to perform together just like a real band! No musical experience is required to join but if you do already have the ability to play, this club is a great way to relax and have fun developing your musical skills. Lead and backing vocals will play a part in band club – so if you love to sing, you will have a chance to do so too! |
Coding | Children will use programming language through fun and engaging activities to develop their coding skills. Children will get creative with the BBC micro:bit. The colour-coded blocks are familiar to anyone who’s previously used Scratch, and yet powerful enough to access all the features of this tiny computer. |
Choir Club | Children will learn a wide range of songs and are able to choose their own favourites to perform. This is an opportunity to give their voice a real workout. It's time to sing out! |
Sewing Club | Sewing Club will provide opportunities to complete projects, which will involve working with small felt and learning simple stitches and how to sew buttons. We will also be using binca fabric and wool as an introduction to cross-stitch. |
Art & Craft | Art & Craft Club is for children who enjoy being creative and want to develop their art ability. Children will have the opportunity to learn about famous artists and explore their work. They will use different techniques such as sketching, painting and pastels to create their own art masterpieces. Children will work individually and in groups to create different artwork. |
Football Club | Children will develop their football skills, from dribbling, shooting and defending. The children will experience exciting football games, as well as having the opportunity to compete in small-sided games against each other. |
Pick & Mix Sports | Pick & Mix Sports club will enhance children’s skills and enjoyment in each discipline of tennis, rounders, cricket and golf. Through dedicated sessions in tennis, children will refine their co-ordination and deepen their understanding of the game through engaging activities such as rallying, serving, scoring and friendly competition. Rounders will offer an opportunity for children to continue to develop techniques learned during school lessons. Cricket sessions will focus on refining hand-eye co-ordination, while the golf activities will introduce children to fundamental techniques and shots essential for golf, all within a fun and supportive environment. |
Millfield Mindfulness | Millfield Mindfulness Club offers children different ways to practise using their senses to focus on one thing at a time. Some of the activities involve focusing our attention, feeling calm and how to care for ourselves and others. |

Invasion Games | Invasion Games are played between two teams, one an attacker and one a defender. The space of one team is 'invaded' by the other with the aim to score a goal or point. Sports that use invasion game objectives include basketball, football, hockey, netball and tag-rugby. Games and skills will be played to support children with playing invasion games. |
