As shared in the end of year letter, timetables for PE days will be shared via an email with a link to the school website on 2nd September 2021. This will support you with what days your child will be required to wear their PE kit to school.

Good luck to all our Year 4 children who will be starting the next stage of their educational journey in September. We also send all the very best wishes to other children that are moving on from Millfield to new adventures.

  • Developments in our one-way system for arrival and collection:

    Fri 16 Jul 2021

Next week, we will be developing our one-way system in preparation for the next academic year. The one-way system will remain very much the same e.g. entering the playground gate and exiting the field gate. In addition, please remain on the outer playground pathway – over the week this will be further highlighted with blue arrows. The bunting and orange fencing will be removed; classroom signs will provide the entrance points for children to say goodbye to their adult from home and walk towards and then into their classroom. Please note, for next week, the staggered arrival times remain the same. Please support us by not allowing your child or their siblings to touch/play with our new Millfield signs.

  • Message from the PE Faculty:

    Fri 16 Jul 2021

Well done to all children who took part in the sporting events held last week at Millfield. The children experienced working individually and in teams. They competed in house colours where they showed excellent teamwork. Millfield staff were very proud of all children for their participation. • Message from Mrs Kennedy-Weeks:

    Fri 16 Jul 2021

We’ve had a wonderful week at Millfield! The Year 4 children have amazed children in other year groups and staff with their performances of Whizz Wham Alakazam! I felt very proud of how confident and engaging the Year 4 children were whilst they performed. There were many special moments during the performances, which Year 4 parents/carers will be able to view – please see the email sent out today. I was also truly proud of the children watching; they haven’t had many opportunities to be an audience in this context recently, but you would not have known – they were a fantastic audience and showed our school values throughout.

Next week, a letter will be sent out via email regarding preparations for the next academic year starting in September 2021. This will include information regarding arrival and collection of children.

  • Message form Mrs Kennedy-Weeks:

    Fri 09 Jul 2021

There has been such a buzz about the school this week – even more than normal! Millfield children in Reception, as well as Year 1, 2 and 3 have found out about their new classes and teachers for the next academic year. Children in Reception to Year 4 have also experienced a transition session where they met their new teacher/s and took part in transitional activities to get to know each other and find out information about their new year group. There were many smiles this week! The transition pages on our school website will be updated in due course for your information – links will be provided once these have been completed.

In other news, the children and staff are extremely excited about England’s football success. It was lovely to hear the cheering during assembly and on the playground today!
