Communication

School Letters

Please have a look at our latest school letters below to keep up to date with everything that is happening in our school. The majority of information is communicated via email; if you require a paper copy of any of the following, please contact the School Office. Sensitive school communications will be emailed to school stakeholders, but will not be posted on our school website.

Text Messaging

Our School uses a text messaging service as a way to keep our parents informed when special or unusual events take place such as School trips or when there is bad weather.

Please ensure that the School Office is advised of any changes to your mobile telephone contact numbers.

For updates regarding Severe Weather information, messages will be displayed on our website and text messages will be sent to parents.  You can also find details on www.hertsdirect.org or listen to 3 Counties Radio.

Class email accounts:

Class email accounts were originally sent up at the initial stage of the pandemic to ensure parents/carers and children still felt connected to class teachers and vice versa. Each year we review our communication between school and home to support our home-school links. With this in mind, for this year, class emails will be maintained. However, it is important that parents/carers are mindful that teachers teach fulltime and have allocated non-contact time once a week, which is when they will endeavour to respond to emails if required. If a matter is urgent and requires a prompt response, please contact the school office via telephone (01763 271717) or email (admin@millfield.herts.sch.uk).
