Key Stage 2 French teaching forms the basis for later language learning by building enthusiasm, curiosity and respect for other languages and cultures.

The lessons provide opportunities for the children to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through learning new French vocabulary covering various topics. This is supported by a range of activities such as games and role-play, as well as the use of day to day French throughout the daily routines. We often provide opportunities to explore other cultures to enable our children to experience food, music, dance and sport from other countries.
