Welcome to Millfield School Nursery, we are looking forward to all the exciting learning and developing the children will be doing this year.

Important Information

Nursery starts at 8:45am. Please drop off your child in the morning at the nursery gate on the main school playground.

Nursery finishes at 11:45am; please collect your child from the Nursery external door at the front of school.

If your child is staying for Early Explorers, your child will have their lunch at 12:00pm. Early Explorers finishes at 2:45pm. There is an option to book your child to stay until 3:15pm for an extra fee, this session must be pre-booked. Please collect your child from the Nursery external door at the front of school.

Children will be offered a fruit snack daily which is provided by the school. If you are sending a snack to nursery from home, please ensure that the snack is a piece of fruit.

PE takes place once a week for Nursery children. Our allocated day is Thursday each week. Please ensure your child comes to school already wearing the appropriate PE kit: Plain black/navy blue shorts or jogging bottoms, House coloured t-shirt with school logo, House coloured hoodie with school logo (or a school sweatshirt/cardigan with school logo could be worn). The children will wear these for the whole session on our PE day.

Please check Tapestry regularly, you will be able to see what your child is learning during their time at Millfield, as well as any important information that we may share.

Please bring in a spare bag of named clothes for your child, to include a t-shirt, trousers/shorts, underwear, socks and shoes etc. Should your child need to use their spare clothes during the day, we will send this bag home to be re-filled before returning to school.

The Nursery Classroom has lots of different learning areas to explore. We are looking forward to having fun with you when you come to Nursery. Below are some photos of the Nursery for you to look at.

We will be learning all about our families. It would be great if your child could bring in a photo of their family/pets for our learning reading for the week commencing 11th September.

All things autumn... we will be investigating autumn treasures in our curiosity area. If you find any nature items, such as conkers, pine cones and acorns etc, please bring them to school to add to our collection.
