I would like to wish you a very warm welcome to Millfield First & Nursery School. As Headteacher, I am proud to share with you the wonderful features of our school and the values which underpin everything we do. We are a welcoming and happy school where everyone is valued and respected. Staff place great emphasis on personal, social and emotional development by fostering caring attitudes, thoughtfulness, mutual respect, self-discipline and self-confidence. We aim to develop each child as an individual, nurturing their strengths and talents. Staff and children embody our school values of: Respectful, Determined and Proud.
The cogs that turn our Millfield Wheel are very important to us at Millfield. They represent the whole school and its community working together. Parents and carers play a very important part of school life and we value strong partnerships with them. We encourage our parents and carers to become involved in all aspects of school life, so that, as partners, we can promote high standards of learning, behaviour and attitudes to enable every child to reach their full potential.
We believe Millfield is a school to be proud of; a place where children learn and enjoy doing so. We have a dedicated, enthusiastic and committed team of staff who endeavour to provide a learning journey full of awe and wonder. We have high expectations of our pupils, both in their learning and socially with their peers.
Our aim is that school staff, pupils and their families work effectively together and in doing so we meet the needs of all our children. We aim for our children to learn and achieve to the best of their ability, and have fun whilst doing so!
This website aims to give you a taster of Millfield, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have (01763 271717).
Kind Regards,
Laura Kennedy-Weeks
