9:05am Rowan Class Assembly for Parents/Carers, please see your invite for further information.

 

Dental Assemblies: Buntingford Dental Clinic are visiting Millfield to host assemblies to highlight the importance of good oral health for Reception, KS1 and KS2 children.

 

3:30pm: Football tournament at Royston Town Football Club for allocated children. Please see individual communication. Good Luck Team Millfield!

Wednesday

Thursday

VE Day celebrations: To mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Millfield children will come together as a school community to commemorate this important historical event.

 

In the morning, each class will decorate their classrooms and take part in a variety of VE Day learning activities. Then, in the afternoon, we will celebrate with a whole-school playground party! πŸŽ‰

 

We kindly ask that each child brings in a healthy snack πŸ₯ͺ🍎 to enjoy during the afternoon celebrations.

 

Children are welcome to wear non-school uniform on the day. We encourage them to dress in red πŸŸ₯, white ⬜ and blue 🟦to represent the British flag and show their VE Day spirit!

 

Thank you for your support, please see the letter sent with the ‘Help for Heroes’ link  – we’re looking forward to a memorable and meaningful day together.

 

9:15 – 11:45am ‘Who’s in Charge’ parent course led by Rivers Educational Behaviour Support Team at Millfield. This is a referral only course, if you have a child that is displaying physical behaviours at home and would like to attend the course, please contact Mrs Taylor for more information: familysupportworker@millfield.herts.sch.uk

Friday

Family Friday Session: We look forward to welcoming parents and carers to our Family Friday Session for you to learn alongside your child.

 

Edwinstree readers will be visiting Millfield weekly to read with a range of KS1 and KS2 children.

 

3:15 – 4:45pm KS2 PTA Disco is always a popular event and the children enjoy showing of their dance moves and having a good time with their friends. Please see the email sent out for further information and booking details.

Attendance: Whole school attendance this week was 97.09%.  Well done to Ash Class who were the class winners for attendance with an amazing 99.33%.
