As previously shared, the only items that children are required to bring to school is an appropriate bottle of water, a home packed lunch (if not having a school meal), a snack (if required and in KS2), a coat and their school reading pack. 

As a result, a rucksack is not necessary and we recommend a book bag for your child to use. This is to ensure our cloakrooms are kept uncluttered as many are an entrance/exit route into or within classrooms. This also supports children to only bring essential items into school.
