What a busy and productive week we have all had at Millfield. Year 4 children thoroughly enjoyed viewing a performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Freman College by Freman students earlier in the week. Our thanks to Freman College staff and students for the kind invite and making us feel so welcome. Millfield children were engaged and very impressed by the performance.
The half-termly art competition took place with the support of Tor Witteridge, who is the Link Governor for Art. The winning pieces were unveiled during our celebration assembly today. They are now proudly displayed in Millfield’s Art Gallery.
Year 3 children had a wonderful trip to Wandlebury Country Park where they baked bread, made old toys and constructed parts of a round house. This is very much supported their class learning on Stone-Age to Iron-Age.
Ash and Oak Classes performed their class assemblies to parents/carers this week. The Year 4 children confidently shared their learning in a variety of ways. A huge well done, they should all feel very proud of themselves.
