Summer Events:

Following the communication emailed earlier this week in relation to Government restrictions, we can now confirm Summer term events for children at Millfield over the remaining half term.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and to adhere to the guidance from Hertfordshire County Council and the Department for Education, unfortunately, we are still unable to invite parents/carers and families to Millfield’s Summer term events. Therefore, all events held will be for Millfield children and staff only and will take place in year group bubbles.

Each year group bubble will take part in a morning of sports where they will earn house points and work collaboratively in teams, as well as individually. The events will take place for year groups on one of their scheduled PE days so children are in the appropriate PE kit.

Transition Day:

This is a transition day for all Millfield children.

The current plan is that Year 4 children will visit the middle school that they will be joining in September 2021. However, we are awaiting necessary COVID-19 information regarding this visit and will share this with Year 4 parents/carers as soon as it is shared with us.

Current Millfield children in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 will all experience time with their teacher and allocated year group staff for September 2021. This opportunity will take place outside to ensure staff and children remain COVID-19 safe.

We understand that parents/carers will miss the opportunity to see a live performance from the Year 4 children, however, we are working hard to hopefully share this performance with you through a recording whilst being GDPR compliant.
