As shared within the Autumn term diary dates, this term we will be holding our face to face Parent/Carer Consultations at Millfield with your child’s class teacher on Tuesday 18th October (3:30pm – 7:00pm) and Thursday 20th October (3:30pm – 5:30pm).
The online booking system opens on Friday 7th October at 6pm and closes on Sunday 16th October at 10pm. Further information will be shared regarding booking appointments. Please note, in order for teachers to hold a meeting for every child, there is only availability for one meeting per child. For exceptional circumstances, please email your child’s class teacher.
Most children live close enough to walk or cycle/scoot to school. It is often faster than driving and looking for a safe and legal place to park. Walking is good exercise for children and helps them to settle into their learning after an active journey to school.
Sometimes it is unavoidable and families must drive to school. If this is the case, allow time to park safely and considerately. Please do not block entrances, driveways or junctions - you may have to park some distance away from the school and walk the rest of the way.
Thank you for your support and understanding to keep our local community safe.

It was wonderful to see so many parents/carers on our school site this week during the ‘Meet the Teacher’ session. This is a valuable informal opportunity to develop and build relationships between home and school.
As it is the first week of our Extra-Curricular School Clubs, please see the clubs identified above.
There is still availability within the following clubs:
As previously shared, if your child would normally attend an Extra-Curricular School Club on Monday 19th September 2022, an alternative session will now take place on Monday 19th December 2022.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Following the sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Friday we held a Key Stage 1 and 2 assembly to commemorate the life of Her Majesty. The children were extremely respectful and mature as we discussed the amazing life and reign of Her Majesty.
Over the weekend, it was confirmed that a public holiday has been announced on the day of the state funeral: Monday 19th September 2022. The school will be closed on this day.
If your child would normally attend an Extra-Curricular After School Club on this day, an alternative session will now take place on Monday 19th December 2022.
We will continue to follow Government guidance as we receive it and of course will keep you informed regarding any further information.
Kind regards,
Laura Kennedy-Weeks
