• Photo Day!

  We are all ready for school photographs today. The children are excited about sitting in front of the camera. We look forward to seeing their smiling faces! 

  

• Individual school photos:

  • Please ensure your child is wearing the correct school uniform, including wearing or bringing in their school cardigan or jumper to school.
  • For Year 2 and Year 4, please ensure you have read the email regarding wearing school uniform instead of their PE kit, but wearing trainers instead of school shoes. You do not need to bring their PE kit for children to change into – the lesson will be adapted accordingly.
  • Unfortunately, sibling photos will not take place this year to avoid the mixing of bubbles in school.

• Class emails:

  Each class has an assigned email account, which is used by class teachers. This can be used for important and necessary home-school communication. Please be mindful that teachers have class responsibilities all day so may not be able to read/respond immediately. For urgent matters, please contact the school office. Class email addresses consist of the class name followed by the school name and county e.g. Willow Class – willowclass@millfield.herts.sch.uk

• First Virtual Assembly

  We all enjoyed taking part in our first whole school virtual assembly for this academic year.

   

  It was lovely to see each class, albeit virtually!

   

  Some of the reasons children were awarded a 'Star of the Week' were for:

  • showing a fantastic attitude on returning to school
  • already showing determination with their learning
  • being a kind and friendly member of the class.

• The First Week

  We have had a wonderful first week to the start of the school year. It has been lovely to see and hear the children having fun around the school.

• Stars of the Week!

  We are in the process of creating a new display here at Millfield. Every week each teacher will choose a 'Star of the Week'. The children will discover who is the class star during our Friday Celebration Assembly and their names will be on display outside the office for all to see.

   

  There are many reasons why children are chosen to be a 'Star of the Week'. All of the 'Stars of the Week' will have demonstrated our School Values; Respectful, Determined and Proud.

  A very warm welcome to a new school year!

   

  On behalf of Millfield staff, I would like to share our appreciation for the efforts taken this morning to ensure the start of school was smooth and positive for our children.

   

  On arrival and collection, the distance between families is currently essential for everyone's safety - thank you for your support to ensure this was and continues to be achieved.

   

  It's only lunchtime and Children have already amazed Millfield staff today! As Mrs Brown and I have said hello to each class from outside, it has been a pleasure to see children happy and engaged. The school is now full of energy and excitement. It has also been a delight to see so many smiling faces.
