  Monday	Welcome back to the second Autumn Half Term.   Herts Catering Limited Food Technology lessons with Willow Class. This is the last session for Willow Class.   Diwali Assembly for KS1 & 2 children.
  Tuesday
  Wednesday	3:30 – 5:30pm Rescheduled Parent/Carer Consultations for Olive Class: Please arrive and wait in the main school entrance. Miss Phillips will collect you from here at your designated time. You are not required to sign in at the school office.
  Thursday	Egyptian Workshop for Year 4: Please see the letter sent out for further information.   Herts Catering Limited Food Technology lessons with Rowan Class. This is the first session for Rowan Class. All ingredients etc will be provided.   3:30 – 5:00pm Rescheduled Parent/Carer Consultations for Olive Class: Please arrive and wait in the main school entrance. Miss Phillips will collect you from here at your designated time. You are not required to sign in at the school office.
  Friday	Gripping History Workshop for Year 3: Please see the letter sent out for further information.
  Attendance: Whole school attendance this week is 95%. Well done to Olive Class who are the class winners for attendance with 99.67%.   Parent/Carer Consultations

  We would like to thank all parents/carers for taking the time to attend the consultation evenings this week. Your active involvement in your child's education is invaluable and we hope you enjoyed viewing their learning and hearing about their progress. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment.

   

  Due to the cancellation of the Tuesday parent/carer consultations for Olive Class this week, we have arranged two new dates. These rescheduled consultations will take place on Wednesday 1st November and Thursday 2nd November. We kindly request all relevant parents/carers to please book their consultations via the Arbor app. The booking system on Arbor will open at 4pm today (Friday 20^th October) and will close at 10pm on Sunday 29^th October. Thank you for your support and understanding.

  Film Night

  Millfield PTA is excited to announce that we will be hosting a fun-filled Film Night for children in Years 2, 3 & 4 on Friday 10^th November 2023. We look forward to offering children a movie that promises to delight. Stay tuned for more details on the movie selection!

  Belongings

  As the weather undergoes a change and our children begin to bring in more coats, hats and scarves, we kindly request that you ensure these items are labelled with your child's name. This helps us in keeping track of their belongings and ensures that everything finds its way back to the rightful owner. Additionally, if your child happens to bring home an item that doesn't belong to them, we kindly ask that you return it to your child's class teacher.

  Monday	Black History Month Assembly for KS1 & 2 children.
  Tuesday	Rowan Class and Ash Class Smoothie Bikes Sessions: Our KS2 classes will have an exciting smoothie bike session delivered by Herts Catering Limited (HCL). It's a unique and fun way to blend fitness and flavour. Children will pedal stationary bikes and watch as their energy blends fresh fruits and ingredients into a refreshing, nutritious smoothie.   3:30 – 7:00pm Parent/Carer Consultations: Meetings will be held in the hall. Please arrive via the car park gate and enter through the external hall doors. Please feel free to visit classrooms to view your child’s learning.

  Rib Valley Partnership:

  This week Millfield teachers met with other schools within our Rib Valley Partnership to collaborate and focus on Maths across the first and middle schools. Sharing best practices, resources and experiences enhances the overall quality of Maths education in the partnership, as well as ensuring there is a consistent and effective approach to teaching Maths which supports children through their educational journey within the Rib Valley Schools.
