  • Message from Mrs Kennedy-Weeks:

    Fri 27 May 2022

It has been a wonderful end to this Summer half term. This week we have been celebrating and learning all about the historical event of the Queen reaching 70 years on the throne. Millfield children and staff looked fantastic wearing royal colours today and celebrating the Platinum Jubilee in our playground street party. There were fun and games that could be heard across the whole school.

Staff at Millfield wish you all a very enjoyable half term break with your family and friends.

  • Staffing at Millfield:

    Fri 27 May 2022

Mrs Page, who has worked at Millfield for a number of years is about to start a new career venture. This unfortunately means Mrs Page will be leaving Millfield. However, I’m pleased to share that she will continue to work with children. Mrs Page has been a wonderful colleague and has had such an impact on the learning and support of Millfield children over the years; we will miss her greatly. I’m sure you will join Millfield staff and children in wishing Mrs Page all the very best.

We are excited to welcome a new member of staff after the half term break: Mrs Murphy. Mrs Murphy will join the Millfield team as a HLTA, supporting the teaching and learning of children across the school.

Due to staff changes, Mrs Murphy will be leading the following School Led Tutoring sessions from 6th June 2022:

Year 1, Group 3 on a Monday after school

Year 2, Group 4 on a Thursday after school

  • EnergyKidz, Wrap Around Care:

    Fri 27 May 2022

We are pleased to share that staff from EnergyKidz will be visiting Millfield on 16th June 2022 after school for an informal information opportunity for parents/carers outside on the playground. If required, please use this as an opportunity to ask questions you may have or to simply find out more information about Holiday and/or breakfast/after school clubs.

  • Magazines at Millfield:

    Fri 27 May 2022

We are hoping to start a magazine rack in the school library to add to the children's reading diet! With this in mind, we would very much appreciate any donations of any good quality, well-kept and suitable children's magazines. If this is possible, please send these in with your child.
