  • Absence:

    Unfortunately, we have recently seen an increase in absence as a result of a sickness bug. Please be assured that we continue with our COVID-19 related increased hygiene measures. This includes, but is not limited to regular disinfecting of high touch surfaces, as well as frequent handwashing and sanitising.

  • Year 4 Residential:

    We are currently awaiting the return of Year 4 children who have attended Hautbois Activity Centre this week. For Year 4 parents/carers, we hope you have enjoyed seeing updates on Facebook. Staff attending the school trip have shared how proud they are of every Year 4 child. They have taken part in so many activities with many experiencing them for the first time. We can’t wait to hear more about it upon their return.

  • Weekly Parent/Carer Reminders and Messages Week Commencing: 16th May 2002

    Walk to school week: Welcome to the five-day walking challenge: power up! Children are encouraged to travel sustainably to school every day of the week.

    Monday

    A local karate instructor, Sensei Khera will be visiting Millfield for our KS1 & KS2 Assembly. Children wrote letters to Sensei Khera inviting him to visit our school.

    Yr1 trip to Mountfitchet Castle & Toy Museum. Please see the letter sent out for further information.

     

    The School Nursing Team will be carrying out a catch-up session for Reception children who missed the Reception checks in the Spring term.

     

    A group of Year 3 children will be visiting Royston Bowls Club for a Sports Partnership event. Those taken part have received a letter regarding this information.

    Friday

    Ark Farm will be visiting Nursery and Reception. Please see email communications for further details.

     

  • Year 4 Residential

    Year 4 residential trip children are lunching in the blue marquee, after a safe journey and some 'interesting' bed making!!

  • Year 3 Assemblies

    The Year 3 children really enjoyed the opportunity to perform to their parents/carers this week. In the assemblies they shared their current learning from Maypole Dancing to poems.

    This day has been allocated to children in Blue House: 3:20 – 3:45pm

    Tuesday

    Book Fair: Please see the letter sent out to all parents/carers.

    This day has been allocated to children in Orange House: 3:20 – 3:45pm

     

    Year 4 Football Festival at Royston Town Football Club. Please see information sent out for further details.

    Wednesday

    Book Fair: Please see the letter sent out to all parents/carers.

    This day has been allocated to children in Green House: 3:20 – 3:45pm.

    If your child is in Year 4 and within the Green House, they may visit the Book Fair on either Monday or Tuesday this week due to the residential trip.

  • School led tutoring sessions for Year 4 children:

    Due to the Year 4 residential trip taking place next week, there will be no school led tutoring sessions for any Year 4 groups. This includes the Year 4, Group 3 session on a Tuesday morning. The weekly sessions will return from the week commencing: 16th May 2022.

  • School absence due to illness:

    Unfortunately, we have recently seen a rise in stomach bugs within our school community. Following our school policy, if your child is sick or has diarrhoea or both, they should not attend school for 48 hours after the last episode. This is to ensure your child is fit and healthy to return to school, as well as not being contagious. Thank you for your support and understanding.

  • Millfield Holiday Club: Summer Half Term:

    Millfield Holiday Club is running over the Summer Half Term on Monday 30th May to Wednesday 1st June. Please note that Millfield Holiday Club will be closed on Thursday 2nd June 2022 and Friday 3rd June 2022 due to the Bank Holidays for the Queen's Jubilee.

  • Millfield Breakfast and After School Clubs:
