Staffing news:
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Mrs Everington is expecting a baby in the Summer holiday. Mrs Everington is planning to start her maternity leave from September 2024. I am sure you will join me in wishing Mrs Everington all the very best.
We say goodbye to Mr Richardson who has been a valued member of our teaching team during his time with us as a Supply Teacher and, of course, Birch Class Teacher. We wish him all the very best with his relocation.
Fundraising for charity:
Jack, who is in Year 4 at Millfield, has shared a very moving and inspiring personal act of kindness. He has cut and donated his hair to The Little Princess Trust, this coupled with his successful fundraising efforts, truly showcases his compassion for others. It's heartwarming to see someone so young take such a significant step to help others, especially in honour of his Granny. Huge congratulations to Jack on raising £260 [130% of his target] and for being such a positive force. We are all very proud of you Jack!
Magazine donations:
If anyone has any spare ‘child friendly’ magazines that they no longer need but are in a good condition, we would welcome these at Millfield for our Magazine rack in our library. Thank you for any kind donations.
Key Stage 2 supporting texts:
Books are used to support and engage children in a variety of subjects including English. Please see the books that children in Key Stage 2 classes are focussing their learning on after the Easter holiday.
If your child has a copy of their class book at home and would like to bring it into school to use in their lessons, they are more than welcome to.
