  • 🌳Year 3 Learning Outside of the Classroom

    Fri 08 May 2026

As part of their learning on a local case study, the children in Year 3 took part in a local area walk around Buntingford. This valuable experience gave children the chance to explore their town first-hand and develop a greater understanding of their local environment.

During the walk, the children explored the High Street, where they observed a range of buildings and discussed their different uses and features. They also visited the local river, which helped them learn more about the geographical characteristics of the area and Buntingford’s history.

The walk successfully brought classroom learning to life and encouraged children to make observations and ask questions.
