Whole school attendance this week was 94.67%. Well done π to Ash Class who were the class winners for attendance with an amazing 98.5% ππ.
We are thrilled to share that, after two years of dedicated work with PAWS, Blue has officially qualified as an accredited therapy dog. This wonderful achievement reflects the hard work, commitment and care shown throughout the training journey. We are incredibly proud of this milestone. We look forward to sharing the work that Blue completes with children across the school.

Due to increases in food prices, Herts Catering Ltd have reviewed the price of a school meal to take effect from 1st April 2026. The cost of a meal for KS2 (Years 3 and 4) children will increase to £3.65 per day. Children in Reception and KS1 (Years 1 and 2) will continue to benefit from free meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.
It was lovely to be visited by Nurse Hill, who is a Children’s Nurse. She shared with the class what her job involves and explained the training and qualifications needed for her role. The children asked many thoughtful questions, one of them being, ‘How many patients do you see each day?’ Nurse Hill also showed the class some of the equipment she frequently uses, which the children found fascinating.
We had such a wonderful time welcoming parents and carers into Nursery this week for our Stay and Play sessions. The children were so proud to share their favourite learning and play areas, and it was great to see families exploring together. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed their Spring Walk around Buntingford. They were keen to explore nature, spot blooming flowers, listen to birds sing and enjoy the fresh air. It was a wonderful adventure full of curiosity and joy! Well done Nursery for being great representatives of Millfield.
