Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary’s Church in Aspenden

Mrs Kennedy-Weeks visited the Christmas Tree Festival this morning at St Mary’s Church in Aspenden and had a wonderful time. 🎄✨

It was lovely to see all the beautifully decorated trees, especially the ‘All Things Millfield’ tree. Our classes worked together to create their own class baubles, which look fantastic on display.

There’s still time to pop down if you’re looking for some festive inspiration and Christmas cheer! 🎅🎄

🎄Our Millfield PTA Christmas Fair is in full swing! Come on down and enjoy some festive fun: 🍫 Chocolate Tombola, 🍪 decorating gingerbread men with the elves, 🎟️ the raffle, ✨ glitter tattoos, and so much more! 🎅🎁🎉

Monday	🎄10:00am Reception Nativity for Apple Class parents/carers. 🎄2:00pm Reception Nativity for Cherry Class parents/carers.
Tuesday	🎭✨Aladdin Pantomime by Shooting Stars for Seedling KS1 & 2 children at Millfield. 🎉Year 2 & Year 1 Christmas parties for children. Please see the email sent out for more information.
Wednesday	🎉Nursery Christmas Parties for children. Please see the email sent out for more information. 🍽️🎅Christmas Dinner Day for Millfield children and staff. 🎶2:45pm KS1 & 2 Playground Christmas Carols: As scheduled, KS1 & 2 parents and carers are invited to enjoy Christmas Carols which will be performed by KS1 & 2 children on the playground. Once the event has finished, children will return to their classrooms and will need to be collected as normal. We are looking forward to having an opportunity for a large proportion of our school community to gather together for this festive event.
Thursday	🎉Year 4, Year 3 & Reception Christmas parties for children. Please see the email sent out for more information. 🏆Award Assemblies for children in school.
Friday	🎁End of Term Assembly for children in school. ⏰School finishes at 1:10pm.

Whole school attendance this week was 93.58%. Well done to Apple Class🌳who were the class winners for attendance with an amazing 100%.

The Friendship Ladder Christmas craft activities were a big hit! The children had a fantastic time working with friends from across the school to create their festive decorations. They also certainly looked the part in their Christmas jumpers! 🎅🧵🧑‍🎄

Reception Visit to St Peters Church

We had a wonderful time taking our Reception children to St Peters Church in Buntingford this week. They thoroughly enjoyed trying on Nativity costumes and taking part in a festive story time and singing songs. The children were highly praised by Curate Sarah Bagnall for being exceptionally polite and enthusiastic. They were wonderful representatives of Millfield. Well done, Reception children! 🎉

Tilly joined our Breakfast Club children this morning in her adorable festive jumper! She brought plenty of smiles (and a few wags!) as everyone started the day in true Christmas spirit. ❤️✨
