9:10am Nursery and Reception Sports Morning: We are looking forward to Nursery and Reception parents/carers joining us for this event. Nursery and Reception children will take part in a range of fun sporting activities that they have been enjoying within their PE lessons. Book Fair
Thank you to the English Faculty for organising this opportunity for Millfield children and their families. It was lovely to see so many children enthusiastic about reading and browsing the variety of books on offer.
Year 4 Library Visits
It was a pleasure to take Year 4 children to Buntingford Library this week. The children learnt about how the library works, which provided an insight to the various sections/genres of books within the library. The Librarians read books to the children based on the current class topic. The children were very much engaged and enjoyed the visit.
KS1 & KS2 Sports mornings
It has been a week full of sporting activities at Millfield. We have all been very proud of how children have participated within the range of sporting activities this week. Thank you to Millfield families for joining us and cheering the children on. The Nursery and Reception Sports Event is taking place on Monday 1st July at 9:10am. After this event, we will count all the scores and share the winning House. The scores are very close, so watch this space!

Book Fair:
‘The Travelling Books’ Book Fair has returned to Millfield from Friday 21st June - Wednesday 26th June 2024 from 3:20pm - 3:40pm in the main school hall. There will be a wide range of exciting new books for children to browse and buy. Please see the letter for further information.
Year 4 and Choir Music Performance:
It was great to invite parents/carers into school this week for the music concert. The children performed with such pride and passion and enjoyed showcasing their voices and instrument playing to their parents.

Year 4 Residential:
The Year 4 children, as well as staff, had a wonderful residential trip to Hautbois Activity Centre in Norfolk this week. They have all been full of exciting stories upon their return! Staff who attended the residential trip have shared how proud they are of every Year 4 child. They took part in so many activities with many experiencing them for the first time. Thank you to all Millfield staff who made this trip possible.
Year 3 and Year 4 Millfield Rounders Festival:
Key Stage 2 children had a fun filled afternoon taking part in a rounders festival at Millfield. It was great to watch the children playing with such passion and enjoyment. The Year 3 and 4 children were great team players, well done!

Morning from Hautbois!
Well, that was a first, we had to wake over 80% of them up, to get dressed, packed and have breakfast! They've all packed something, not necessarily their own belongings and none of the cases look as lovely as when they were first opened! But never mind!
Now it's activity time!
