As another fantastic school year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families for the encouragement and support you have shown throughout the year. Your partnership has played an important part in making this such a positive and successful year for our school community.

It has been wonderful to watch the children develop in confidence, embrace new challenges and celebrate so many achievements. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and the progress they have made.

We hope you enjoy a restful, fun-filled summer with family and friends. To those leaving Millfield, we wish you every success and happiness in the next stage of your journey. For everyone returning, we look forward to seeing you in September, ready for another year of learning and exciting opportunities.

  • Sporting Friendship Ladders & End-of-Year Celebration

    Thu 23 Jul 2026

Our Sporting Friendship Ladders event was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the school year. Children in KS1 and KS2 took part in a wide range of fun activities, including playground games, parachute games, tennis, shooting at goal and skipping. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in with enthusiasm, encouraging one another and demonstrating excellent teamwork.

The morning ended with a playground party where everyone enjoyed dancing together and cooling down with an ice lolly.

A huge thank you to Mrs Cranko for sourcing the ice lollies, Mr Hughes for providing the music, Mr Rome for organising the sporting activities and to all of our staff for supporting the children throughout the morning and helping to make it such a memorable event.

Our EYFS children also enjoyed their own end-of-year celebrations. Reception had a special time in the hall before joining the rest of the school outside for ice lollies, music and dancing.

What a wonderful way to celebrate our Year 4 children before they move on to middle school! Their leavers' performance was truly outstanding, with confident acting, fantastic singing and plenty of humour along the way. The children should be incredibly proud of themselves for putting on such an entertaining and memorable show.
