It was wonderful to welcome Tom, a Millfield parent, into school this week to meet our ‘Reading Rockets’. The children were pleased to receive the kind donation from ‘The Abilities in Me’ foundation. Each book beautifully celebrates diverse abilities, offering children meaningful representation and understanding. The Reading Rockets will be sorting the books so that every class has the opportunity to enjoy them. Thank you, Tom.
If you have a child starting in Nursery, Reception or Year 5, please ensure you make an appropriate application.
It was a pleasure to invite parents/carers to school this week for our Maths Workshop. The teachers shared parts of our Maths curriculum and explained how we teach certain aspects of Maths. The workshop also provided information on how to best support your child at home with Maths. Thank you to all the parents/carers who attended the workshop and to Mrs Cranko and Miss Phillips for hosting the event.
Our Reception and Year 1 children took part in a Herts Catering Limited Workshop based on the topic ‘What Food Will You Choose?’ which promotes healthy eating. The children very much enjoyed the workshop and were keen to explore and taste healthy food choices.
