Thank you for your patience whilst we have been busy developing the school’s new Management Information System. We appreciate, as a result, dinner money has not been able to be paid so far for this half term. The set up includes the launch of a new parent App, which unfortunately has been delayed. We are excited to launch this App for parents/carers in the coming weeks. More information will follow. Thank you for your support and understanding.
We have been working hard with EnergyKidz over this term to develop an effective partnership. Final arrangements were agreed this week; we are excited to announce that Millfield will host a Summer Holiday Club by EnergyKidz as our new wrap around care provider. More information, including booking details will be provided next week. EnergyKidz will continue at Millfield and will offer Breakfast and After School Clubs for the new school year starting in September 2022.
We are thrilled to be holding and inviting parents/carers to our Sports events this Summer. Please see dates for your diary. More information will follow in due course.

Unfortunately, we have recently seen an increase in absence as a result of a sickness bug. Please be assured that we continue with our COVID-19 related increased hygiene measures. This includes, but is not limited to regular disinfecting of high touch surfaces, as well as frequent handwashing and sanitising.
We are currently awaiting the return of Year 4 children who have attended Hautbois Activity Centre this week. For Year 4 parents/carers, we hope you have enjoyed seeing updates on Facebook. Staff attending the school trip have shared how proud they are of every Year 4 child. They have taken part in so many activities with many experiencing them for the first time. We can’t wait to hear more about it upon their return.

A local karate instructor, Sensei Khera will be visiting Millfield for our KS1 & KS2 Assembly. Children wrote letters to Sensei Khera inviting him to visit our school. |

The School Nursing Team will be carrying out a catch-up session for Reception children who missed the Reception checks in the Spring term.
A group of Year 3 children will be visiting Royston Bowls Club for a Sports Partnership event. Those taken part have received a letter regarding this information. |

The Year 3 children really enjoyed the opportunity to perform to their parents/carers this week. In the assemblies they shared their current learning from Maypole Dancing to poems.

Due to the Year 4 residential trip taking place next week, there will be no school led tutoring sessions for any Year 4 groups. This includes the Year 4, Group 3 session on a Tuesday morning. The weekly sessions will return from the week commencing: 16th May 2022.
