• 🌱 Exciting News from Our School Gardening Club! 🌱

  We are absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news with you all!

   

  Our school has proudly achieved both the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardening Awards Level 1 and Level 2, a fantastic accomplishment that reflects the enthusiasm, dedication, and teamwork within our Gardening Club. 🌼

   

  This is an amazing achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. As part of this success, we have also received books and a voucher from RHS, which will enable us to purchase seeds and resources to continue developing and enriching our gardening projects here at school.

   

  A huge congratulations goes to Mrs Skinner and all members of the Gardening Club for their hard work, commitment and passion. Their efforts have made a real difference in creating a vibrant and thriving outdoor learning environment for our pupils.

   

  We look forward to continuing our gardening journey and sharing more of our progress with you soon!

  National Statutory Year 1 Phonics Screening Week: Children will be taking part in the Phonics Screening Check this week. This will be very similar to the phonics assessments they have experienced this year.
  Monday	World Cup KS1 & KS2 Assembly: Mr Rome will be holding a special World Cup Assembly. The assembly will introduce children to the excitement of the World Cup, sharing interesting facts, traditions and the spirit of teamwork and fair play.
  Tuesday	🚫 9:00–10:00am Mini Millfield cancelled due to EYFS Sports Event   🏅9:10am – 10:30am EYFS Sports Event:  We are looking forward to our Nursery and Reception parents/carers joining us for this event. Nursery and Reception children will take part in a range of fun sporting activities that they have been enjoying within their PE lessons. After these activities, all children will have the opportunity to take part in a flat race. Please see the email sent out for further information. If the weather continues to be unpredictable, further information will follow next week, including a possible contingency date.
  Wednesday	🚫 8:30 – 8:45 KS2 girls Blazepod Club Cancelled due to the Residential Trip   Year 4 Residential Trip (10th – 12th June) to Hautbois Activity Centre. For Year 4 parents/carers, please see all information shared.
  Thursday	🚫 8:30 – 8:45 KS2 girls Just Dance Club Cancelled due to the Residential Trip   Reception Shepreth Wildlife Park Trip: For Reception parents/carers, please see the email previously sent for more information.   Oliver Twist Panto Performance: We are excited to announce that children in Years 1, 2, and 3 will be enjoying a special pantomime performance of Oliver Twist, presented by M&M Productions. This lively and engaging show brings the classic story to life with music, humour and interactive moments, giving children a wonderful opportunity to experience live theatre in school. It promises to be a memorable and entertaining event for everyone involved!
  Friday	📖Edwinstree readers will be visiting Millfield weekly to read with a range of KS1 and KS2 children.   🎉Celebration Assembly for Millfield children.

  Whole school attendance this week was 92.94%. Well done 👏 to Olive Class who were the class winners for attendance with an amazing 100% 🏆🎉.
