  Monday	Anti Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day: Everyone is invited to wear their most colourful and quirky mismatched socks to school today with their school uniform. It's an opportunity to celebrate our differences and show our support for a world where everyone is accepted, just as they are. Please see the letter sent out for more information.
  Tuesday	Year 3 & 4 Cross Country event at Edwinstree: All Year 3 & 4 children will be given the opportunity to take part in this event. Please send Year 3 & 4 children to school in their PE kits with a bottle of water and their coats.   Herts Catering Limited Hungry Caterpillar Food technology lessons for all EYFS classes.
  Wednesday	Herts Catering Limited Hungry Caterpillar Food technology lessons for all KS1 classes.
  Thursday	Herts Catering Limited Food Technology lessons with Rowan Class. All ingredients etc will be provided.
  Friday	Children in Need: Children and staff are invited to wear spotty clothes and/or accessories. Whether it's polka dots, stripes, or any kind of spotted attire, let your creativity shine! This is an opportunity to show our support for Children in Need in a colourful and playful way. Please do not feel you have to buy anything new. Please see the letter sent out for further information and the link to donate to Children in Need should you wish to.   Celebration Assembly for Millfield children.
  Attendance: Whole school attendance this week is 93.7%. Well done to Oak Class who are the class winners for attendance with 97.4%. This is an amazing achievement – well done!

  It was a pleasure to invite parents/carers to school this week for our Year 2 class assemblies. It was a delight to share Year 2 learning from the Autumn term. We heard some fantastic Autumn poetry and lovely singing. Thank you to Birch and Maple Classes for all their hard work, we were all very proud of you.

   

  It was lovely to have a visit from our local Police Representatives (PCSOs) today, who met children at Millfield over lunchtime. This was an opportunity for the PCSO to spend time in an informal environment enjoying lunch and having a chat with our KS1 & KS2 children.

   

  Thank you to the Millfield PTA; children thoroughly enjoyed the Movie Night today. Our very own cinema experience was created in the hall!

  It has been a busy and exciting week to start the new Autumn half term. Throughout this week, Millfield children have been immersed in engaging activities. Learning for Year 3 and Year 4 children has been focused on the Stone Age to Iron Age and Ancient Egyptians. It has been a delight to see their enthusiasm and motivation during these enrichment experiences. The children have been learning, exploring and having a fantastic time delving into history!

  Monday	Welcome back to the second Autumn Half Term.   Herts Catering Limited Food Technology lessons with Willow Class. This is the last session for Willow Class.   Diwali Assembly for KS1 & 2 children.

  Wednesday	3:30 – 5:30pm Rescheduled Parent/Carer Consultations for Olive Class: Please arrive and wait in the main school entrance. Miss Phillips will collect you from here at your designated time. You are not required to sign in at the school office.
  Thursday	Egyptian Workshop for Year 4: Please see the letter sent out for further information.   Herts Catering Limited Food Technology lessons with Rowan Class. This is the first session for Rowan Class.   Parent/Carer Consultations

  We would like to thank all parents/carers for taking the time to attend the consultation evenings this week. Your active involvement in your child's education is invaluable and we hope you enjoyed viewing their learning and hearing about their progress. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment.

   

  Due to the cancellation of the Tuesday parent/carer consultations for Olive Class this week, we have arranged two new dates. These rescheduled consultations will take place on Wednesday 1st November and Thursday 2nd November. We kindly request all relevant parents/carers to please book their consultations via the Arbor app. The booking system on Arbor will open at 4pm today (Friday 20^th October) and will close at 10pm on Sunday 29^th October. Thank you for your support and understanding.
