Belongings
As the weather undergoes a change and our children begin to bring in more coats, hats and scarves, we kindly request that you ensure these items are labelled with your child's name. This helps us in keeping track of their belongings and ensures that everything finds its way back to the rightful owner. Additionally, if your child happens to bring home an item that doesn't belong to them, we kindly ask that you return it to your child's class teacher.

Open Event:
It was lovely to welcome prospective parents/carers to Millfield this week for a tour. As always, we were very proud of Millfield children – our visitors commented on children’s positive behaviour and attitudes to learning.
Hello Yellow Day/World Mental Health Day:
It was lovely seeing all the children and staff at Millfield wearing yellow. Our KS1 and KS2 children had an assembly that focused on young people’s mental health and how we can look after our own mental health, as well as our physical health. Together we focussed on how to calm our bodies down with focussed breathing.

Harvest Celebrations
Our Harvest celebrations this week have highlighted the importance of sharing with others who are not so fortunate. A huge thank you to our whole school community for donating so generously to Buntingford Food Bank. It was a pleasure to welcome Emma, a representative from the Food Bank, to enjoy an assembly with us. Emma thanked the children and shared how your kind donations will support others in and around Buntingford.
It is hard to believe that children have only been in their new year groups for just over a month! They have settled with confidence, kindness and motivation. This was highlighted within Year 4 class assemblies this week where our Year 4 children performed fantastic Harvest assemblies to their parents/carers. Children sang with confidence, shared their learning with pride and kept the audiences entertained. Well done Year 4 children!
