Year 3 and Year 4 children were excited to visit Edwinstree School this week when they took part in a Cross-Country Event. Children supported one another to complete this challenge – a big well done to all our Year 3 and 4 runners.
Congratulations to the children in Birch and Maple classes for delivering wonderful Class Assemblies focusing on the Great Fire of London to parents and carers this week. It was a pleasure to hear about their learning and to see them present so confidently; such moments really showcase their courage and growth.
Everyone looked spotacular today as we celebrated Children in Need! Alongside the fun, the children have been learning about the importance of helping others and recognising that some people are less fortunate than others. We’re so grateful for your generous donations; our fundraising page will remain open over the weekend.

Today, Blue had a very special meeting with Teddy-Blue! As part of Blue’s therapy dog training, we’re delighted to welcome Teddy-Blue to Millfield. ππ
Teddy-Blue will be joining our wellbeing team to provide additional support for children and to help them learn about the care, training and understanding of dogs. Together, Blue and Teddy-Blue will bring even more smiles, comfort, and calm to our school community.

This morning, Mrs Kennedy-Weeks and members of Millfield's Assembly Committee attended Buntingford's Remembrance Service to pay their respects. They represented our school beautifully, laying a wreath and taking a moment to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. β€οΈ

π Children in Need Day: We are inviting all children and staff to participate in a non-school uniform day. To make this day special, if possible, please wear spotty clothes and/or accessories. Whether it's polka dots, stripes or any kind of spotted attire, let your creativity shine! This is our opportunity to show our support for Children in Need in a colourful and playful way. Please do not feel you have to buy anything new.

Just a quick reminder that The Cabin’s Breakfast Club is open from 7:45am - 8.45am, Monday to Friday. The entrance gate closes promptly at 8:20am to enable all children to settle into Breakfast Club and eat their breakfast whilst having time to interact with their peers before getting ready to join their classes at 8.45am. Please try to arrive nice and early if your child would like to eat with us.
