    9:00am Nursery (2- & 3-year-olds) & Reception Prospective Parent/Carer Tour for children starting school in September 2027: Here at Millfield, we look forward to welcoming prospective parents with children starting school in September 2027 for a tour to see our school in action.

    Tuesday

    9:00 – 10:00am Mini Millfield: We are looking forward to welcoming families to our next Mini Millfield session for children aged birth to 4 years. Little ones can enjoy messy play, music, stories and a snack – all for just £2 per family. No booking required – just come along. We can’t wait to see you!

     

    1:00 – 3:00pm Ready for Nursery Sessions: Millfield will be holding ‘Stay and Play’ group sessions for children starting Nursery in September 2026. We look forward to welcoming new children and parents to Millfield. Please see information previously shared for individual session times.

    Year 4 Transition Day to Middle School.

     

    Millfield Transition Session: We have planned a transition session for Millfield children to enjoy spending time in their new classrooms getting to know their new teacher and support staff.

    Whole school attendance this week was 92.29%. Well done πŸ‘ to Apple Class who were the class winners for attendance with an amazing 96% πŸ†πŸŽ‰.

    The excitement is building for our Millfield PTA Summer Fair! A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA team for all their hard work in organising what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of fun, laughter and community spirit.

     

    We can’t wait to welcome as many members of our school community as possible to join us for an afternoon packed with enjoyment and celebration.

  • πŸ… Sports Events Week at Millfield! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

    What an action-packed and exciting week of sport at Millfield! From EYFS to KS1 and KS2, our children have thrown themselves into a fantastic range of sporting activities, showing determination, teamwork and enthusiasm every step of the way.

     

    We are incredibly proud of how all the children participated, challenged themselves and supported one another throughout the week. Their positive attitudes and resilience truly reflected the values of our school.

     

    A huge thank you to our Millfield families for joining us, cheering from the sidelines and helping to create such a wonderful atmosphere.  Your encouragement made the events even more special for the children.

    The excitement isn't over yet! We are now busy counting up all the scores and will be announcing the winning House very soon. πŸ† Watch this space!

  • ⚽🌟 Year 1 Girls' Football Session 🌟⚽

    We would like to extend a huge thank you to Nina Witteridge, a Millfield parent, for delivering a fantastic Year 1 Girls' Football Session this week. The girls had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the activities. They all showed great enthusiasm throughout the session. Nina commented on how brilliant the girls were and how much they enjoyed taking part.

     

    Nina is currently starting a brand-new Cougars Girls U7 team for the upcoming season. Please see the attached information which may be of interest if your daughter would like to develop her football skills and join a local team.

     

    Thank you once again to Nina for providing such an enjoyable and inspiring experience for our pupils.

  • πŸ’ƒβœ¨ Reception Dance Visit ✨🩰

    The children in Reception had an exciting and enjoyable afternoon this week with a visiting dance teacher, Alex Haldin. During the session, the children learned lots of interesting facts about dancing and were treated to demonstrations of a variety of dance skills, including the splits, tap dancing and ballet moves. Alex then led the children through a fun warm-up session, teaching them different stretches and movements to keep their bodies active and healthy.

     

    The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part and were inspired by everything they learned. We would like to say a massive thank you to Alex for such a fun, engaging and memorable visit. The children had a wonderful time, and we are very grateful for the opportunity.

    A huge thank you to all our parents and carers for your generous donations towards our Non-School Uniform Day held this week in support of the Summer Fair. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support and for helping to make these special events possible for our children.

    We’re thrilled to share that our recent Book Fair was a wonderful success! Thanks to the fantastic support from our school community, Millfield children will benefit from even more new and recommended books, which will soon be on display in our library and classrooms for everyone to enjoy.

     

    A huge thank you to the English Faculty for organising such a successful event, and to all the parents/carers and children who attended and purchased a book to enjoy.
