As our school is positioned amongst houses on a residential street, if you drive to school, please ensure you park considerately and do not block driveways. Next week, please continue to walk, scoot or bike to school as part of ‘Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel’ event that Millfield is taking part in.
New Summer Term Extra-Curricular After School Clubs are available to book online. Please see information sent out this week.
Thank you for sending your child into school with a water bottle every day. Please ensure your child brings in a sensible bottle with a sports cap lid and that the bottle only contains water. Air up bottles and Prime bottles are not suitable water bottles for school.
Thank you for the kind donations to Comic Relief. Millfield school community raised £255 for this fantastic charity. This was over our target amount!

Installation of new play equipment: We are excited for this project to begin! To allow access for the contractors, the field pedestrian gate will be out of use for arrival and collection of children until the project is completed. The playground pedestrian gate on Monks Walk and the woodland pedestrian gate on Luynes Rise will remain open as normal.
World Poetry Day Assembly for KS1 and KS2 children led by the English Faculty.
Year 4 Topic Learning: As part of their topic learning on South America, a parent will be visiting the Year 4 children to talk about and share their experiences of South America. |

Governor Open Morning: Today we welcome Millfield Governors into school for a tour of Millfield where they will see children and staff in action. |

British Science Week took place this week. During the school week, Millfield staff and children became Scientists and took part in designing and carrying out science investigations.
Today children and staff celebrated Red Nose Day with a non-school uniform day; many chose to wear red to mark the occasion and represent this fantastic charity. Thank you to our school community for their online donations to the charity.
