  Monday	Great Fire of London Workshop for Year 2 children: Please see the letter previously sent out for further details.
  Tuesday	3:30 – 7:00pm Parent/Carer Consultations: Meetings will be held in the hall. Please arrive via the car park gate and enter through the external hall doors. Please feel free to visit classrooms to view your child’s learning.
  Wednesday	1:00 – 3:30pm Additional Nursery Parent/Carer Consultations: Please arrive and wait in the main school entrance. Mrs Everington will collect you from here at your designated time. You are not required to sign in at the school office.
  Thursday	1:00 – 3:30pm Additional Nursery Parent/Carer Consultations: Please arrive and wait in the main school entrance. Mrs Everington will collect you from here at your designated time.   Friday	Friendship Ladders: Children will enjoy working in mixed aged groupings to learn all about safe networks. This is known as ‘Protective Behaviours’.   Half Term Award Assemblies for children in school   PTA Smarties Challenge for over the half term – more information will follow.

• Hello Yellow Day:

  It was lovely seeing all the children and staff at Millfield wearing yellow. Our KS1 and KS2 children had an assembly that focused on young people’s mental health and how we can look after our own mental health, as well as our physical health. In classes, the children have been challenged to complete 3 tasks:

  1. Say something kind to someone
  2. Wave and smile at a friend
  3. Tell a joke to try to make someone laugh!

  Monday	Hello Yellow Day: Please see the letter sent out from the PE & PSHE Faculty with information. Children and staff are invited to wear yellow today to show their support for ‘Young Minds’. This is a non-school uniform day.   PE lesson change: Year 1, who normally have PE on a Monday and Wednesday, will swap this week only to Wednesday and Thursday. Year 4, who normally have PE on a Thursday and Friday, will swap this week only to Monday and Friday.   For Year 3 and Year 4 children, who have PE today, please ensure they are wearing suitable trainers with their yellow clothes.
  Tuesday	4:00pm Maths Workshop for Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 parents/carers in the Hall. Please see the letter sent out on 16th September 2022 for more information. Please enter the hall via the carpark gate, which will be opened in readiness for the session. This session is for parents/carers only.
  Wednesday
  Thursday	9:05am Visit & Tour for prospective parents/carers for Nursery & Reception 2023/24. To book on the tour, please phone the school office on 01763 271717. Please enter via the main school office.   KS2 Football Festival Event at KJAR: Please see the letter sent out from Mrs Wallis for further information. All of KS2 children to wear their PE kit to school today.
  Friday	Egyptian Workshop for Year 4: Please see the letter sent out for further information.   Christmas Card Project: Please ensure you return all artwork for the Christmas Card Project by today.

   

• Parent/Carer Consultations:

  Our online booking system opens at 6:00pm today (07.10.22) to make your booking/s.

  
  As you will be aware, Parent/Carer Consultations are booked via the Parent Portal App on Arbor.  

   

  The consultations will take place on Tuesday 18^th October between 3:30pm and 7:00pm and Thursday 20^th October between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.

  On Tuesday, Carmel Jane Photography were in school taking individual and sibling photographs. Your child would have brought home a card with details on how to view and order photographs.

• School Dinners:

  It was lovely to see so many children experiencing school dinners on Thursday during Census Day. If you would like to continue to order school dinners for your child, please remember that children in Reception or KS1 are entitled to a free universal school dinner. If your child is in Early Explorers or KS2, school dinners need to be paid for via Arbor.
