• Postponed Parent/Carer Consultations: Elm Class ONLY

  Elm Class consultations will take place on Monday 14^th November between 3:30pm and 7:00pm and Wednesday 16^th November between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. 
   

  Our online booking system opens at 6:00pm on Wednesday 9^th November to make your booking via Arbor. The booking system closes on Sunday 13^th November at 10:00pm. 

• End of the school day:

  Fri 04 Nov 2022

  Due to a range of factors, teaching staff do not have the flexibility at the end of the school day to safely look after children that have not been collected on time at 3:15pm. If children are not collected on time, they will join ‘The Cabin’ after school club where you will be charged the session fee of £9.80. The after school club runs from 3:15pm to 5:15pm.

• EYFS Race for Life Event at Millfield

  Wow! What another fantastic Race for Life event we had this morning. The children in Nursery and Reception were full of energy and enthusiasm running, walking and jogging around our field.

   

  All children have been presented with a Race for Life medal for taking part in the event.

   

  So far we have raised: 

  £714.50 + £158.63 Gift Aid.

   

  Thank you very much to everyone who has donated and supported our Race for Life Event.

   

   

  

• KS1 and KS2 Race for Life Event

  What a fantastic event we had at Millfield today for our KS1 and KS2 children.

   

  The children either walked, ran or jogged around a designated route within our school grounds. The children aimed to reach a 3k target (depending on each individual’s age and fitness levels). This was 8 laps of the designated route. 

   

  All children have been presented with a Race for Life medal for taking part in the event.

   

  So far we have raised: 

  £549.50 + £126.13 Gift Aid.

   

  We are looking forward to another Race for Life Event tomorrow with our children across the EYFS.

  It was fantastic to celebrate the end of a busy half term today with Friendship Ladders this morning and our Award Assembly this afternoon. We are very proud of Millfield children for their motivation and engagement in learning this half term. Over the last few weeks, children have enjoyed a range of cross-curricular learning; from sports festivals and historical workshops to visitors in school, children have had a range of opportunities to apply their learning. It was great to see so many parents/carers during consultations this week. It was lovely to share how children have settled into a new school year and have already started to make progress.

  After the half term break, School Council members will take responsibility for selling Remembrance Day poppies for a small donation. If you wish to donate, please send your child in with a small donation e.g. 50p.

  Millfield Governors are looking for a new parent governor to join our successful governing body. If you are interested, please see the letter recently sent out via email. Parent Governors are an important component in achieving an effective and well-balanced governing body.
