I will be sharing a video for children today, which will focus on change and another video next week to remind and explain the changes in school for children. Children at school and at home, as well as school staff and parents/carers wore their clothes inside out as a reminder that how someone else looks on the outside does not necessarily reflect how they are truly feeling on the inside.
Thank you to everyone for recognising this important day.
This week marks Children's Mental Health Week! Over the week children at home and at school will have the opportunity to think about 'Gratitude, Kindness and Resilience'.
As part of Children's Mental Health week Mrs Kershaw reads the story, 'The Worries - Shola Finds a Friend' by Jion Sheibani. Please click on the link to take you to the Wellbeing page and join Mrs Kershaw as she shares the story: https://www.millfield.herts.sch.uk/wellbeing-stories/
We are pleased to share further information regarding live sessions for Millfield children that will start on Friday 29th January 2021.
Every child that is currently remote learning at home will be invited to two virtual live sessions each week. One will be a group session with other children learning at home; your child’s class teacher will contact you via email with your child’s designated time by 10am on Monday 1st February 2021. In the meantime, you can view the allocated day and time period for your child’s class below. The other meeting will be a whole year group session on a Friday, which will include children learning at school. Please see the table below which shares year group times. This week only the Friday year group session will take place. Both sessions will be offered from next week (WC: 1.02.21).
