Here at Millfield we have introduced ‘Zones of Regulation’. This approach is to help support children to self-regulate and learn about their own and others emotions. We have been using it with individuals and in small group interventions and we are now introducing it across the school to provide a consistent approach for all at Millfield.

For more information regarding 'Zone of Regulation' please see the letter sent out to parents/carers on Friday 12th March. This letter can also be found in our communication section of the website: https://www.millfield.herts.sch.uk/communication/

  • Message from Mrs Kennedy-Weeks

    Wed 10 Mar 2021

    Dear Parents/Carers,

What an amazing return to school we've had this week!

It has been such a delight to have welcomed all Millfield children back to school. As I have walked outside from class to class to say 'hello' from the door, it has been so encouraging to see so many smiling faces of both children and staff. Teachers have shared how children have been so engaged and focused with their learning, as well as enthusiastic to be back with their friends.

Thank you for all the support that you have provided your child in preparation for their return. As predicted, Millfield children have returned happy and ready to learn.

    Kind regards,

    Laura Kennedy-Weeks

    Headteacher

  • Comic Relief: 19th March 2021

    Tue 09 Mar 2021

The theme for Comic Relief this year is ‘funny is power’- and it has never felt more important to have some fun! Within school, we will organise fun activities around this theme for all children. To support Comic Relief and celebrate Red Nose Day, we would like to invite children to come to school wearing something RED on Friday 19th March 2021

Please do not feel you have to buy anything new, this can be as simple as wearing a red jumper/t-shirt. Please bring in a voluntary contribution of £1 (or more if you would like) to donate to Comic Relief.

Due to the situation regarding Covid-19, the children will be unable to bring in Comic Relief related accessories such as red noses or headbands. We are also unable to sell any Comic Relief rated merchandise within school this year.
