I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and a warm welcome to the start of the Spring Term. Millfield staff are looking forward to seeing children back in school at the normal time of 8:45am on Monday 8th January 2024.
As we reach the end of the Autumn Term at Millfield, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the many achievements and memorable moments that have made this term so special.
In today's assembly, I asked the children to reflect on their favourite moments from this term. It was a pleasure to hear their enthusiasm as they shared their highlights, which included unforgettable experience days, engaging food technology lessons, the joy of making new friends and the pride of earning house tokens for demonstrating our school values. These moments encapsulate the positive and vibrant spirit of our school community.
Last week's Playground Christmas Carols were a resounding success! It was a pleasure to see so many parents and carers join us for this festive event. It was a great experience for Key Stage 1 and 2 children to sing together, surrounded by such a large and supportive audience. Your presence added to the festive cheer!
A special thank you to the Millfield PTA for organising the Christmas Fair last week. The event was a tremendous success, and we are grateful to everyone who attended or generously contributed. Thanks to your support, the PTA raised an impressive total of £2100, which will go towards enhancing the educational experiences of our children.
We look forward to seeing you all on Monday 8th January 2024 for the start of the Spring term. Please look out on Friday 5th January 2024 for the Latest News for the first week back.
All staff at Millfield wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
